About Edinburgh City Centre

Edinburgh ( Scottish Gaelic: Dùn Èideann) is the capital city of Scotland and the seat of the Scottish Parliament. It is the second largest city in Scotland and the seventh most populous in the United Kingdom. Humans have settled the Edinburgh area from at least the Bronze Age, leaving traces of primitive stone settlements at Holyrood, Craiglockhart Hill and the Pentland Hills for example. The City Centre is home to Princes Street one of the most famous shopping streets in the world. Rose Street, George Street and Queen's Street all sit behind Princes Street and are home to a variety of retail shops, cafe's, pubs and restaurants. The Edinburgh Farmers Market takes place every Saturday on Castle Terrace. (Improve this description or add photos)
