Scottish Hydro Arena - Coming 2013 Riverside Museum Glasgow II Glasgow 1

About Glasgow

Glasgow grew from a hamlet on the River Clyde to become one of the largest seaports in Britain. Expanding from the medieval Bishopric of Glasgow and the later establishment of the University of Glasgow in the 15th century, it became a major centre of the Scottish Enlightenment in the 18th century. The Hydro is an arena in Glasgow, Scotland which is currently under construction. It is planned for completion in 2013 at an estimated cost of £125 million. The building will be used for concerts and other entertainment events and will seat 12,000. It will therefore be the largest purpose built indoor arena in Scotland and one of the largest in the UK after the MEN Arena in Manchester, The O2 Arena in London, the Sheffield Arena, the LG Arena in Birmingham.
