About LEGO® mania ahead of Warren Elsmore's Brick City
Featuring over 50 models (created by author and artist Warren Elsmore), Brick City is a celebration of some of the world's iconic buildings, including London's St Pancras Station, Rome's Colosseum and the Arc De Triomphe in Paris recreated in LEGO® bricks.
Aimed at all ages, tens of thousands of visitors have already enjoyed Brick City on its UK-wide tour, and organisers of the Perth leg are promising a whole host of exciting extras including special interactive events, competitions and even a mystery Perth landmark recreated in LEGO®.
Helen Smout, Chief Executive of Culture Perth & Kinross, said: "Culture Perth and Kinross is delighted to welcome Warren Elsmore's iconic Brick City exhibition to Perth Museum & Art Gallery. With some of the world's most famous buildings being re-created in LEGO® bricks, it looks certain to be one of the highlights of 2017.
"We are sure Brick City will be popular with people of all ages and it makes for a great day out during the Easter holidays. It's not just about looking, there will be plenty of opportunities for visitors to get ‘hands-on' with some great interactive displays.
"We're especially grateful to our sponsor AJ Stephen (Builder) Ltd. for helping us provide a LEGO® pit which kids can use for their own brick creations."
